Lease Termination Removed! But there is still work to do.

You can donate to our Legal Defense Fund, or Volunteer with our organization.

Lease Termination Date Has Been Removed!

The Hawaii Department of Transportation Airports Division has removed the early lease termination entirely. That means the current lease will be in effect until July 2024. DOT and Army will continue their long term lease negotiation which is on track to be completed by the end of the current lease.

There is still work to be done. Our organization will continue to participate in regular meetings to address the needs of General Aviation. The airfield still needs to resolve a issues with the on-airport water system and develop a long term vision for capitol improvements.

Kawaihapai (Dillingham) Airfield: Northern Oahu’s Gateway to the Sky

Kawaihapai Airport, more commonly known as Dillingham Airfield, is the only public airport on the northern half of Oahu. It is a home for glider operations, hang gliding tours, flight training, skydiving and the Civil Air Patrol. This unique airport is the only place on the island, in some cases the entire state, that is available for many of these activities. Join our cause today by donating to the Save Dillingham Airfield fund and by signing up for our mailing list.
