2) Check your email and “verify” your registration for the State Of Hawaii’s website.

4) Write your testimony SUPPORTING SB1368 and click the “SUBMIT” button (not the save button.) Written testimony can be as simple as “I love Dillingham Airfield. Please keep it open to civil access!”

We need to demonstrate how important the airfield is by submitting testimony at hearings. Many of you submitted testimony for the City Council Resolution last month. Thank you so much! That is what led to its success. State Legislation is a very similar process with much higher stakes.

Written testimony is very short & simple. Oral testimony is just 2 minutes tops, so also quick and easy to participate. Here is what you need to do:

1) Register TODAY with the State Legislature Website See PDF guide in the button above or visit: https://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/login/register.aspx

2) Go to SB1368 at this link: https://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/measure_indiv.aspx?billtype=SB&billnumber=1368&year=2021

3) Click the Submit Testimony button in the upper right corner! Write a short paragraph or prepare a few remarks.

Great job! Now stay tuned, there will be more opportunities to testify as the bill proceeds through the legislature

WE ARE GIVEN VERY SHORT NOTICE ON WHEN TO TESTIFY

Committees will review the bills and set a date for hearings. These hearings are your chance to testify! A notice of those hearings will be sent out 48hrs in advance. Your testimony must be submitted 24hrs in advance of the hearing starting. That means YOU WILL ONLY HAVE A ONE DAY to voice your support for the airfield.

To make sure you have plenty of time to testify please take a moment NOW to register with Hawaii State Legislature website by following the directions in the PDF Guide Button above of by simply going to here:

https://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/login/register.aspx

We will blast notice to everyone on this email campaign with directions about how to testify as soon as hearings are announced. We will also send notifications via Instagram and Facebook.

Stay Tuned, your voice is the most important advocate for our airfield!
